Great Sport Birthday Card

I hope you are having a wonderful week! Tomorrow's Friday, so it's all good here! :)

A friend's youngest daughter had a birthday recently. She's an amazing soccer player, and her team colors are red and black, so here is the card I made for her.

The Real Red background was run through the Big Shot in the Hexagon embossing folder. I used the debossed side because I thought it had a soccer ball look to it.  The soccer ball is from the set, Great Sport.  I don't have the stamp set, but I do have the MDS download.  I printed 3 balls on Whisper White and punched them out with the 1 3/8" Circle punch.  They are adhered to the strip with dimensionals.  I added the Whisper White Baker's twine (doesn't it remind you of a shoe string?) for the finishing touch.  It was a hit at the party.  :)

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamp- none.  Ink- none.  Paper- Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White.  Accessories- MDS2 (Great Sport), Big Shot, Hexagon embossing folder, 13/8" Circle punch, Whisper White, Baker's twine, dimensionals.

UDI Color Challenge 122

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is what I created.

It's a really CAS one.  I started with a Whisper White card base.  I stamped and masked the coffee cups from Patterned Occasions (SAB) in Rose Red, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink.  That's it.  Easy peasy.  It's ready to pop in the mail to send a friend a "whole latte love."    :)

You can see what the other designers created by visiting the UDI blog.

UDI Sketch Challenge 228

Happy Saturday! It's time to get sketchy! Here's what we had to work with this week.

Here is what I made with the sketch.

I started with a card base of Very Vanilla.  I layered a strip of First Edition DSP on a mat of Basic Black.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black (marker) on Very Vanilla and die-cut with an Apothecary Accents framelit.  I lined the edge with my Basic Black marker and adhered it to a Basic Black banner.  An easy peasy card.

To see what the other designers created, head on over to the UDI blog.

UDI Color Challenge 120

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is what I created.

It's a frameable piece of art for a co-worker.   I used MDS2 to create an 8.5 X 11 custom piece.  I added text boxes with all the details of Sophia's birth.  I'm going to have it printed and frame it for her.  Easy peasy.  I hope she likes it.

You can check out the other color creations on the UDI blog.

UDI Sketch Challenge 226

Happy Saturday! It's time to get sketchy! Here's what we had to work with this week.

Here is what I created for you.

I started with a piece of First Edition Specialty DSP and matted it on a piece of Basic Black.  I stamped images from Pretty Petites (SAB) in Real Red on Whisper White and punched them out with the Petite Curly Label punch (SAB).  They were matted on 1" Basic Black squares.  A Real Red glimmer paper heart punched from the Owl builder punch was adhered to the wonky square.  That square was  adhered with dimensionals. The other 3 were glued right to the Crumb Cake card base.

February Stamp to the MAX Blog Hop

Happy February! It's time for another Stamp to the MAX blog hop! This month we're featuring projects all about LOVE!  We hope you are inspired! You may have arrived from Stephanie's blog, you may be a regular reader :), or maybe you just stumbled here by accident! However you found me, I'm glad you're here! I am stop #7 on the blog hop, and I created a card for you today!

I have seen the Chalkboard Technique all over the place lately, so I decided to give it a try.  I started out by embossing the Pool Party card stock with the Framed Tulips embossing folder.  Then I measured inside the frame for the chalkboard piece which is just a piece of Basic Black card stock.  I heat-embossed the sentiment.  Then I adhered my banners which were stamped with the Hearts a Flutter stamp set to the White Baker's twine with glue dots.  Don't recognize the small banners?  It's the rounded banner from Hearts a Flutter that I die-cut with the Bitty Banner framelits. I just love that pattern!  After I adhered the banner, I took a sponge dauber and added some 'eraser marks' with Whisper White craft ink.  Then I adhered my chalkboard to a card base of Raspberry Ripple. It really was quite easy, and I think it looks so cute!

I hope you enjoyed my stop on this month's hop.  For more ideas, continue on to Max's blog.
