Perfect Blend Christmas

Happy Monday! I have another Christmas card to share with you today. It's also my submission for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #116.

I flipped the sketch on its side because I wanted to use the coffee cup from Perfect Blend.   (This card will have a Starbucks gift card in it later today.  It's a thank you Christmas gift for someone.)  Along with the Perfect Blend set, I used Gorgeous Grunge to add some coffee spills.  Every layer was sponged with Crumb Cake, including the inside piece.  The Cherry Cobbler layer was embossed with the Pretty Print folder, and then the embossed areas were sponged, too.  The cup was stamped 4 times...once on the Whisper White layer, once on a scrap of Whisper White, once on Crumb Cake and once on Season of Style DSP.   I popped the lid up with dimensionals.  I made the banners by clipping the ends of the DSP strips with the Hexagon punch.  It's so much easier than trying to cut them evenly. :)

Flipping for Baby!

Hi! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! I'm taking a break from Christmas cards to share a baby card. I attended a friend's baby shower on Sunday, and this is the card I made for her.  It's the first flip card I've made with the framelits.  I used a longer piece of card stock (5.5 X 8.5) so I would have an extra panel to write my message.  I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the matching envelope.

I used retired stamps, but this little duck is just too cute to collect dust, and it's the perfect size for the circle.  ;)

Here's a shot of the inside.

The small stamp is retired, too, but the bigger label is still current.  Use 'em if you got 'em!  LOL

I'll be back tomorrow with another Christmas card share.

Christmas Messages

Happy Monday! I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest made using non-SU! supplies, and I recreated it using all SU! supplies.

It's not your typical winter color combo, but I love it!  What do you think?

Best of Snow

WooHoo! It's finally Friday! Today's share is another clean and simple Christmas card that can be mailed with just one stamp. :)

I just love this smaller Frosty image.  He was stamped in Jet Black Stazon and colored with markers.  I added rhinestones to the center of all the embossed snowflakes for a touch of bling.

Endless Wishes

Happy Monday! I spent Saturday creating some Christmas items to share with you this week. The first one is a CAS card.  It's easily mass-produced and can be mailed with just one stamp.  :)

I finally ordered my first photopolymer set, Endless Wishes.  I used 3 different stamps for the sentiment, and I loved being able to line them up just right without having to pull out my stamp-a-ma-jig.  ;)

If you need any of the supplies to re-create this card, just click on them in the supply list.  It will take you straight to my SU! store.

November Stamp to the MAX Blog Hop

It's time for the November Stamp to the MAX Blog Hop! We're a week late, but I hope you'll find our projects worth the wait! This month it's all about the gifts! You may have arrived here from Norma's blog, you may be a regular reader :), or maybe you just stumbled here by accident! However you found me, I'm glad you're here! I am stop #5 on our Christmas giftables hop.

My project is a gift for my mom.  She'll be getting it for Thanksgiving.  It's to help keep her organized this holiday season.  When my brother and I were kiddos, my mom was famous for hiding Christmas presents and then forgetting where she hid them.  Seriously!   This little package has a calendar and a post-it note pad with a pen on one side (I forgot to put the pen inside for the picture), and a pocket on the other side where she can stash receipts and notes.  Then she'll know exactly where she hid the gifts this year. ;)

I hope you enjoyed my project!  Find your next piece of inspiration on Christina's blogJust in case there are any missing or broken links,  you can find a list of everyone participating right here.

UDI Sketch Challenge 264

Happy Saturday! It's time for another sketch challenge on the UDI blog. This will be the last one until the new year. We'll be taking a break to spend more time with family this holiday season. I'll still be posting, so come back and visit! :)

Here is today's sketch.

Here is the card I created.

The image is retired, but it's the first time it's seen ink.  So sad.  I absolutely love this!  I tried my hand at water coloring with an aquapainter for the first time, too.  I have no idea what I was waiting for all this time.  :)

This card will be going to a friend's daughter who had her first baby.  The finished size is 5x5.  All the edges except the watercolor paper have been sponged.  The largest panel was adhered to the base with dimensionals.  I just had to add some bling on the portholes.  I used Smoky Slate to create the shadow around the image.

Click on over to the UDI blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Two by Two(retired).  Ink- Soft Suede, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, Elegant Eggplant, Smoky Slate. Paper- Watercolor paper, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake. Accessories- Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, aquapainter, Very Vanilla seam binding, Basic Jewels rhinestones, sponge dauber.

UDI Sketch Challenge 262

Happy Saturday! It's time for a new sketch challenge on the UDI blog!

Here's what I created!

Isn't it fun?  :)  I turned the sketch on its side and used a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in place of the ribbon.  I used more stamps from Gorgeous Grunge to fill the background layer.  The sentiment is from Christmas Messages, was punched with the Label Bracket punch and adhered with dimensionals.  I added a Rhinestone jewel for bling.   All the card stock edges were sponged in Real Red or Old Olive.

See what the rest of the team created by clicking over to the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Christmas Messages, Gorgeous Grunge.  Ink- Soft Suede, Real Red, Old Olive.  Paper- Sahara Sand.  Accessories- Label Bracket punch, Rhinestone jewel, sponge dauber, dimensionals.

UDI Color Challenge 152

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is what I created.  I am still stuck on clean and simple.  :)

I wanted to try the masking tape technique.  The only problem was that I don't have any masking tape or painter's tape.  I used regular clear office tape instead.  It worked!  :)
