UDI Color Challenge 108

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!  (For all those in the path of Sandy, stay safe and dry!)  Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is what I created.

I used MDS2 to make the banners and also to "stamp" my not-so-scary cat.  The new coloring and recoloring tools are phenomenal!  I colored each word in the cat differently, and I also recolored Tangerine Tango DSP to Wild Wasabi and Elegant Eggplant.  So easy!

The card base is Whisper White topped with another piece of Whisper White that was run through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I matted the cat on Elegant Eggplant and tied on some Basic Black Polka Dot Scalloped ribbon.  I adhered the banners to the back of the image panel and then adhered the entire piece to the card base with dimensionals.

To see the rest of the designers' creations, head on over to the UDI blog.

Have a fun, safe Halloween tomorrow!  I'll see you back here on Thursday for the UDI Inspiration Challenge AND the Stamp to the MAX November blog hop!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- none.  Ink- none.  Paper- Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant.  Accessories-  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Basic Black Polka Dot Scalloped ribbon, MDS2, dimensionals.

    UDI Sketch Challenge 212

Happy Saturday!  Here is today's sketch challenge.
divasc212 10/27I love this sketch!!  So many ideas are running around in my head for this one!  I just hope I can get them on paper before I lose them!  LOL

I stuck to the sketch this week, and I am thrilled with the outcome!
The card base and the image layer are Very Vanilla which I cut with my brand-spanking-new SU! paper trimmer!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!  :) It will be available to customers on November 1st! The banners are both sides of a piece of DSP from the Festival of Prints pack.  I stamped the greeting in Cherry Cobbler classic ink and embossed it with Clear embossing powder.  (A perk of the humidity here.)  The gorgeous snowflakes were cut with the Snow Flurry Bigz die from Silver and Red glimmer paper.  I topped them with a 3/4" Red glimmer paper circle and stuck them together with a Glimmer brad.  I matted the focal image on a piece of Cherry Cobbler.

To see what the other designers created, just head on over to the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Greetings of the Season.  Ink- Cherry Cobbler.  Paper- Very Vanilla, Festival of Prints DSP pack, Red and Silver glimmer paper.  Accessories-  Big Shot, Snow Flurry Bigz die, 3/4" Circle punch, Clear embossing powder.

    UDI Inspiration Challenge 156

Happy Thursday! Time to be inspired! Here is today's picture.

Here is what I created.  I just had to use my new download from MDS2!  I saved it as a jpeg and then just resized it and printed it on Whisper White.  So simple!  Don't you just love it?!  I do!

The card base is Tangerine Tango.  That's topped with a Basic Black piece that was run through the Big Shot in the Spider Web embossing folder.  The image was matted with more Tangerine Tango, and the banners are leftovers from my printer's tray kit.

Check out the other projects over on the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- none.  Ink- none.  Paper- Whisper White, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango.  Accessories- MDS2, Big Shot, Spider Web embossing folder.

    UDI Color Challenge 107

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!
Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is what I created with it.

The card base and the background layer are Naturals White card stock.  I stamped the ornament from Merry Minis in all 5 colors.  I stamped an extra Summer Starfruit one, punched it out with the matching punch and popped it up on a dimensional.  I used the piercing template and mat to make the "strings".  I scored 2 lines under the ornaments and stamped the sentiment.  I adhered the background piece to the base with dimensionals.  That's it.  An easy peasy card you can mail with just one stamp!  :)

Head on over to the UDI blog to see what the other designers created for you.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Merry Minis, Greetings of the Season.  Ink- Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Always Artichoke. Accessories-  Merry Minis punch pack, Simply Scored, piercing template, dimensionals.

    UDI Sketch Challenge 211

divasc211 10/20Happy Saturday! Here is today's sketch challenge.  I took a little liberty with it, and switched it up a bit.  ;)

    Here is what I created.

I turned the sketch on its side, and I shrank the focal image.

The card base is Very Vanilla.  The background piece is from Festival of Prints.  I ran it through the Big Shot in the Northern Flurry embossing folder and then sanded it.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark, embossed it with Silver EP, and then I cut it out with a Labels Collection framelit.  After adhering the label to the card, I spritzed the entire thing with homemade Platinum shimmer paint shimmer mist.  I hope you can see the sparkle in the photo.

To see what the other designers created for you, head on over to the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Greetings of the Season.  Ink- Versamark.  Paper- Very Vanilla, Festival of Prints DSP.  Accessories- Big Shot, Northern Flurry embossing folder, Labels Collection framelit, Silver EP, Platinum shimmer mist.

    UDI Inspiration Challenge 154

Good Thursday morning, stampin' friends! I joined the UDI Inspiration Challenge design team, and the challenges are posted every Thursday. I hope you'll join us! Here is today's picture. It's a gorgeous Fall scene.  Here in central Florida, I can't say I actually see anything like this.  LOL

The first thing I thought of when I saw the picture was Lovely as a Tree.  That was too easy, so I decided to go a different direction.  I took my inspiration from the colors of the center tree.   I used Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie re-inkers along with Champagne shimmer paint and some rubbing alcohol to create this beautiful polished stone background on Glossy White paper.  I matted it on to a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock.  The card base is Naturals White.  The sentiment from Trust God was stamped on Naturals White in Chocolate Chip.  I thought it was perfect for today's picture!  I die-cut it with an Apothecary Accents framelit and sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.  I punched holes in each end and ran a piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding through them.  I added 2 pearls for the finishing touch.

To see what the other designers created for you, head on over to the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Trust God.  Ink-  Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie re-inkers, Chocolate Chip.  Paper- Naturals White, Chocolate Chip, Glossy White.  Accessories- Big Shot, Apothecary Accents framelit, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Basic Jewels Pearls, Champagne shimmer paint, sponge dauber, rubbing alcohol, cotton ball.

Stamp to the MAX October Blog Hop

Happy October 1st!  Welcome to our Stamp to the MAX blog hop!  We hope you are inspired by our Thanksgiving and Thank You projects. You may have arrived from Stephanie's blog, you may be a regular reader :), or maybe you just stumbled here by accident!  However you found me, I'm glad you're here! I am stop #7 on the blog hop. I created 2 cards for you today.  One is a Thanksgiving card, and the other is a thank you card.  :)

Stampin' Up! demonstrators receive a fabulous magazine every month.  It's chock full of great business tips and wonderful samples!  Both of my cards are CASEs of cards shown in the August Stampin' Success magazine.

This Thanksgiving card is easy and a great way to use up those DSP scraps we just can't throw away!  :)  Each Orchard Harvest DSP strip is 3" by just under 3/4".  I glued them to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and then glued that piece to an Early Espresso mat.  The mat is adhered to the Very Vanilla card base with dimensionals.

This thank you card also uses Orchard Harvest DSP and Wonderfall from the Holiday catalog along with First Edition DSP and Curly Cute from the annual catalog.

I hope you enjoyed my stop on this month's hop!  For more fabulous ideas, continue on to Maxine's blog.

Just in case there are any missing or broken links, you can come back here and find the next stop.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps-  Curly Cute, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Wonderfall.  Ink- CAjun Craze, More Mustard, Early Espresso, Soft Suede.  Paper- Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Orchard Harvest DSP, First Edition DSP.  Accessories- Big Shot, Autumn Accents die, Scallop Trim border punch, Early Espresso Baker's twine, Designer Naturals  button, sponge dauber, glue dots, dimensionals.
