Saturday Sketch Challenge 208

Happy Saturday! Here's the sketch for today's challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is what I created with it.

The card base and sentiment strip is Very Vanilla.  My focal layers are Soft Suede and Comfort Cafe DSP.  I tore both layers and sponged everything in Soft Suede.  The finishing touches are the Designer Naturals buttons "threaded" with strips of Soft Suede cardstock.

You can see what the other designers created by heading over to the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Apothecary Art.  Ink- Soft Suede.  Paper- Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Comfort Cafe DSP. Accessories- Designer Naturals buttons.

UDI Color Challenge 103

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is the card I created.

I used Naturals White card stock instead of Whisper White for the card base and the top layer.  I just love Naturals White card stock!  :)  The mat is Tempting Turquoise.  I stamped the flower center from Mixed Bunch in Melon Mambo and one of the flowers from Itty Bitty Bits in Pumpkin Pie.  The sentiment from Curly Cute is stamped in Tempting Turquoise on Naturals White that I cut out with the Petal Cone die.  I curled it and attached it under the Daffodil Delight seam binding bow.

Make sure you head on over to the UDI blog to see what the other designers created for you.

UDI Sketch Challenge 207

Happy Saturday! Time for a new sketch challenge on the UDI blog. Here it is!

I turned it on its side and switched the tag shape for Labels framelits. I used the extra paper from the Printer's Tray kit that I earned for recruiting!  I love that there is an entire extra sheet included!  There are still lots more great pieces to use!  I stamped the image from Toxic Treats (got it free in the kit, too!) in Versamark and then embossed in black.  The ribbon is the back side of the Polka Dot Scalloped ribbon in Basic Black.  Easy peasy!

I hope you enjoyed my card!  Head on over to the UDI blog to see what the rest of the design team created for you!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Toxic Treats. Ink- Versamark.  Paper- Basic Black, Printer's Tray papers, Very Vanilla.  Accessories- Big Shot, Labels framelits, Black embossing powder.

UDI Color Challenge 102

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!   Here is this week's color challenge on the UDI blog.

Here is the card I created.  It's a birthday card for a friend of mine. :)

I CASEd  this from Corinne.  I  had to buy the stamp after I saw her card!  I made a few changes, but it's still hers!  Thanks, Corinne!

I started with a base of Whisper White.  I adhered a strip of So Saffron to a piece of Calypso Coral and then ran that through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners, and it's die-cut with the Bitty Banners framelits.  The leaves are punched from the Build a Blossom punch, folded in half and then run through the Big Shot in the Woodgrain embossing folder.  The realistic result is amazing!  The flower was stamped in each color, and each layer was punched out and attached to the next layer with a dimensional.  The entire flower is also adhered to the card with dimensionals.  A rhinestone jewel is the finishing touch.

You can find more the rest of the design team's creations on the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Quint-essential Flower, Itty Bitty Banners.  Ink- So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Pool Party.  Paper- Whisper White, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Gumball Green.  Accessories- Big Shot, Woodgrain and Perfect Polka Dots embossing folders, 2 3/8" Scallop punch, 1 3/4" Scallop punch, 1" Circle punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Build a Blossom punch, Itty Bitty Banners framelits, Rhinestone Jewel, dimensionals.

UDI Color Challenge 101

Happy Tuesday! The UDI Color Challenge has returned! Here is today's combo.  It's in honor of all those who lost their lives 11 years ago today.

I decided to make a Christmas gift tag.

The base is a Raspberry Ripple Two Tags die-cut.  It is layered with Midnight Muse edged with a Finishing Touches edgelit and a piece of Whisper White.  The candy cane is stamped in Raspberry Ripple and is die-cut with a Holiday Collection framelit. It's adhered with dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped in Midnight Muse.  The Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon (which I got for FREE!  I may have gotten all the colors for FREE!  LOL)  is the finishing touch.

Head on over to the UDI blog to see what the rest of the designers created for you today.

Stamp to the MAX September Blog Hop

**There are 2 posts today.  The UDI Sketch Challenge and the Stamp to the MAX blog hop.  Please scroll down and enjoy all of today's creations.  :) **

Happy September 1st!   Welcome to our Stamp to the MAX blog hop! We hope you are inspired by our Halloween and Fall projects. You may have arrived from Jill's blog, you may be a regular reader :), or maybe you just stumbled here by accident! However you found me, I'm glad you're here! I am stop #6 on the blog hop. I created 2 cards for you today. One is a traditional handmade card and the 2nd one is a hybrid card created with MDS2. ( I also created my blog header with MDS2!)

This traditional handmade card features a technique called Rolling Marbles.  So fun and super simple!

The card base is Tangerine Tango, topped with a Wild Wasabi mat and a Rich Razzleberry mat.  The Whisper White background piece was colored with the Rolling Marbles technique and then run through the Big Shot in the Spider Web embossing folder.  The sentiment was colored with markers and punched out with the Large Oval punch.  It is layered on an Apothecary Accents framelit and adhered to the card with dimensionals.

The 2nd card is a hybrid card.   The card base is Naturals White and the top layer is all digital.  I created it in MDS2 and printed it at home.  I cut it to size and adhered it to the card base.  The sentiment is just words I typed, not a stamp.  Easy peasy!

I hope you enjoyed my stop on this month's hop!  For more fabulous ideas, continue on to Christina's blog.

Just in case there are any missing or broken links, you can come back here and find the next stop.

UDI Sketch Challenge 204

**There are 2 posts today.  The UDI Sketch Challenge and the Stamp to the MAX blog hop.  Please scroll up and enjoy all of today's creations.  :) **

Happy Saturday!  It's time for another sketch challenge on the UDI blog. Here is today's sketch which was drawn by me. :)  It's clean and simple which was just what I needed this week.

I started with a card base of my favorite neutral, Naturals White.  Then I layered another slightly smaller mat on top of the card base.  I stamped the butterflies on Naturals White scraps and punched them out with the 1 1/4" Square punch.  After I adhered the squares to the card, I stamped the sentiment.  Clean and simple.

Please check out the other projects over on the UDI blog.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Friendly Phrases, Papillon Potpourri.  Ink- Elegant Eggplant, Almost Artichoke, Riding Hood Red.  Paper- Naturals White.  Accessories- 1 1/4" Square punch.
