Happy World Cardmaking Day & a Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday, Happy October and Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Today's sketch was drawn (in MDS) by me!  It's my first one, so go easy on me!

Here's what I created with it.
A Christmas card!  Christmas is just around the corner, you know!  ;)   The card base is Crumb Cake topped with a piece of Real Red that has been embossed in the Snowburst embossing folder.  The image piece is Crumb Cake topped with Very Vanilla.  Dasher was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  The corners were adorned with Real Red brads.   The image is mounted to the card with dimensionals.  All the edges were sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  A piece of Crumb Cake seam binding is the final touch.  What do you think?

Head over to the UDI blog to see what everyone created for you today.  I'm excited to see how everyone interpreted my first sketch!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Dasher.  Ink- Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake.  Paper-  Crumb Cake, Real Red, Very Vanilla.  Accessories-  Big Shot, Snowburst embossing folder, Brights brads, Crumb Cake seam binding, sponge, dimensionals.

Thanks for visiting!  Make some time to create something today!

Thanks for providing the sketch, Elizabeth :)
Your card is a great one for making a stack! The texture of the folder picks up the snowflakes in the stamped image. They look great together!

Elizabeth, this was a great sketch to work with! It was clean, simple and classic, the same as your card! When you have a beautiful embossed background to show off, I think less is more.
