Last Christmas card.

Good Thursday morning!  Just 2 more days of 2010!  Wow!  This past year really flew!
Today's project is the Christmas card I gave my co-workers this year.  I forgot to share it earlier.  I also gave them a new 2011 calender to place on the coaster calendar holders I gave them last year. (You can see a sample from last year here.) :)

Enjoy your day!  It's going to be a gorgeous one here in Tampa!

Happy Wednesday! I hope the last one of the year is going well for you!

Here's a video from Stampin' Up!.  It will show you how to turn those fortune teller paper games into a fun goodie basket!  You remember those games, don't you?  I think I may be dating myself now.  LOL

Congratulations, Graduate!

Happy Sunday!  I know I said I'd post this card yesterday, but time just got away from me.  Here is the card I made for my baby sister's college graduation yesterday.  I used a retired green because it matched the school seal perfectly.  (I used my 1 3/4" Circle punch to snatch it from the announcement she mailed.)

We had a great time with friends and family afterward at dinner.  I haven't seen my dad in ages (he moved to GA a few years ago), so it was nice to spend time with him and his wife.  I don't get to see my brother and his wife or my baby sis enough either.  Life is just crazy busy for everyone these days.

Here's a pic of my baby sis waiting to walk across the stage yesterday.  :)

Enjoy what's left of your weekend!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Ink- Glorious Green (retired).  Paper- Whisper White, Brushed Gold, Glorious Green (retired).  Accessories- Scalloped Edge border punch, 1 3/4" Circle punch, 2 3/8" Scalloped Circle punch, Big Shot, Circles #2 die, Whisper White Organza ribbon.

Thankful Friday!

Happy Friday!  Today's post...thank you note cards!  ;)   I made a batch for my son to send for his birthday gifts.

They are so easy to make.  They are basically just fancy post cards. The Real Red base is 5 1/2" X 4 1/4".  The Very Vanilla layer is 5 1/4" X 4".  There is a layer of Real Red and Dashing DSP (retired) at the top, and a fun, little cupcake complete with a cherry on top (OMGosh!  Sneak peek from the upcoming Ocassions mini!) on the bottom of the note.  I sponged the frosting so it would stand out from the card stock. The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly.  That's it.  Easy peasy!

I am so ready for the weekend!  My baby sister is graduating from college tomorrow, and I can't wait to see her walk across the stage!  I'll post the card I made for her sometime tomorrow!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Thank You Kindly.  Ink- Real Red.  Paper- Very Vanilla, Real Red, Dashing DSP (retired).  Accessories-  Cupcake punch (available January 4th!).

Happy Hanukkah!

Happy Monday and Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends!  I know it started last week, but I just got a card made this morning.  I'm hand-delivering this one, so they'll get it while they're still celebrating.  :)

The card base is Night of Navy.  The next layer is a piece of Whisper White run through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  I only put the paper partially in the folder so that the bottom part is plain.  There are score lines above and below the sentiment. (You may be able to see them if you click on the picture.) I used clip-art for the image.  The menorah is colored with a grey watercolor pencil and then blended with a blender pen.  The Star of David is Night of Navy and the flames are More Mustard.  The image is layered on a piece of Brushed Silver and then Night of Navy.  It's adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

Supplies( all SU! except for clip-art):  Stamps-  Four the Holidays.  Ink- Night of Navy, More Mustard.  Paper- Night of Navy, Whisper White, Brushed Silver.  Accessories- Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, dimensionals.

A new MDS blog banner

Happy Friday!  I am so ready for the weekend!

I've been playing with My Digital Studio today.  I joined an MDS dessert recipe swap.  We're all submitting 8x8 recipe pages, and then all the recipes will be put together in an album.  I had fun creating my page for yummy Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars.  I can't wait to get all the other recipes so I can try them!  ;)

Since that was so much fun, I decided to update my blog banner.  I used the Candy Lane photo card kit.  I love the way it looks!  How about you?  I'll work on a new background tomorrow.  :)

I'm off to watch some television and relax.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
