Welcome Christmas

Good morning!  It's another day in paradise here in Tampa.  Lows in the 70s, and highs in the 80s.  Perfect Fall weather.  :)

Today's card is simple but elegant.  It's also nice and flat for mailing...a bonus!  This will definitely be one design for my Christmas cards this year.   The main image is CASEd from Tiffany.  I love the sentiment surrounded by the wreath.  The background is a piece of Whisper White embossed with the Petals a Plenty folder.  The Rhinestone jewels add just the right amount of bling, and the Cherry Cobbler seam binding is the finishing touch.  Thanks, Tiffany, for the inspiration!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Welcome Christmas.  Ink- Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler.  Paper- Whisper White, Old Olive.  Accessories-  Big Shot, Petals a Plenty embossing folder, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Rhinestone Jewels.

A Good-bye Gift

Happy Monday!  The principal's secretary at my kiddos' middle school started her now job today.  This is the card, nugget tin, and stationery box I gave her last week to let her know how much I appreciated all she did for me.

The school colors are black, orange and grey, and the mascot is a shark.  Last year's Halloween DSP worked perfectly along with the shark in the retired Tattoo kit.  The sentiments are from current sets.  :)

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Thank You Kindly, Hope Happens.  Ink- Jet Black Stazon.  Paper- Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Creepy Crawly (retired).  Accessories-  Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon, Pumpkin Pie taffeta ribbon, Basic Black 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, Basic Black 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Scalloped Circle punch, 1 3/4", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle punches, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Corner Rounder punch, dimensionals.

Marina Mist Thank You

Happy Thursday!  Today's card is a Thank You card for a new customer.   I hope she likes it.  I really enjoyed creating it for her.  :)

The card base is Certainly Celery.  The next layer is Marina Mist.  The hydrangea from Because I Care (a Level 1 hostess set) is stamped on Whisper White.  I colored the flower with my markers.  First I used  Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery.  Then I outlined and "thumped" the image with Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi to give it more dimension.  The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Marina Mist.  A faux bow in Certainly Celery satin ribbon divides the image from the sentiment.  I punched the corners of the Whisper White layer with the Ticket Corner punch and added rhinestone jewels for the finishing touch.  I also stamped the envelope flap with the top of the flower, but I forgot to photograph it.  :P

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Because I Care.  Ink- Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi.  Paper- Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, Whisper White.  Accessories- Rhinestone jewels, Certainly Celery satin ribbon, Ticket Corner punch, mini glue dots.

A Halloween Card Designed by Lauren

I had a Christmas card stamp-a-stack at my house yesterday.   My daughter had a friend over (her mom was making cards) , and they hung out together.  After the stamp-a-stack was finished, my daughter (she's 12) decided she wanted to have a class for her grandmother and me.  She designed this Halloween card for us to make.  I just love it!!!  I think she did a great job!

It's 3 1/4" x 6 1/2" and fits in SU!'s Small Open-end envelopes.  The base is Whisper White.  The layers are Basic Black and Creepy Crawly DSP (retired).  I stamped the bats from Batty for You in Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green. They were punched out with the 1" Circle punch and then layered on a 1 1/4" Circle punch.  They're adhered to the card with dimensionals.  The middle bat has some bling for eyes.  I just love the Rhinestones, and I'm so glad SU! carries them now!

If you like the card , please leave her some love!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Batty for You.  Ink- Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green.  Paper- Whisper White, Basic Black, Creepy Crawly DSP (retired).  Accessories- 1" and 1 1/4" Circle punches, Rhinestone jewels, dimensionals.

Embossed Happy Birthday

Happy Saturday!  Today is a co-worker's birthday, and this is the card I made for her.  I learned the technique from Lyssa Z. (GWTW Junkie on SCS).  The flowers look like they are part of the paper!

I used some more retired DSP.  The stacks are getting smaller!  ;)  The card base is Crushed Curry.  The next layer is Dusty Durango.   I punched out some flowers with the Boho Blossom punch and randomly glued them on a piece of Whisper White.  I then ran that piece through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Don't you just love the look?  I do!  Some retired Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon is tied around the focal layer.  The sentiment is from On Your Birthday.

Enjoy your weekend!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- On Your Birthday.  Ink- Dusty Durango (retired).  Paper- Crushed Curry (retired), Dusty Durango (retired), Razzleberry Lemonade DSP (retired), Whisper White. Accessories-  Big Shot, Square Lattice embossing folder, Boho Blossom punch, Crushed Curry polka dot ribbon (retired).
