Happy, happy, happy...

WooHoo! It's Friday! Thank goodness the weekend is almost here!

This is a birthday card for a friend and co-worker. Her birthday isn't until Monday, but I need to give her the card today. She decided she didn't want to work on her birthday and took some vacation days. The nerve! LOL

I started with a card base of Riding Hood Red. The next layer is Rockabilly DSP. The scalloped rectangle is made from the SU! Exclusive Scalloped Square die for the Big Shot. (I posted a quick little tutorial
here.) The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White with Jet Black Stazon. The cherries from Tart & Tangy are stamped with Ruby Red & Old Olive after stamping off once. A jumbo grommet and a piece of Kiwi Kiss ribbon finish off the card. I am slowing but surely using up my stash of retired stuff! Yay!

Have a fantastic Friday!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- On Your Birthday, Tart & Tangy. Ink- Ruby Red, Old Olive, Jet Black Stazon. Paper- Whisper White, Riding Hood Red(retired), Rockabilly DSP(retired). Accessories- Big Shot, SU! Exclusive Scalloped Square die, Jumbo Grommet, Kiwi Kiss ribbon(retired).

Finally...It's Inspiration Challenge Time!

We're back home now, and I can finally post my card!

Here's the link to the original challenge and all the other team members' creations.

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Teeny Tiny Wishes. Ink- Jet Black Stazon. Paper- Whisper White, Real Red, Pixie Pink, Basic Black. Sweet Treats Sunday

Happy Sunday!

I have seen these cute little boxes all over the web. Today it was my turn to make one. :)

I cut 2 Box #2 diecuts with my Big Shot out of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I assembled them and then used Sticky Strip to adhere them together. Sweet Always DSP (retired) was wrapped around the boxes. An Eyelet Border punch piece was adhered around the top edge. I punched out the handle with the Small Oval punch. The frame for the handle was made by punching a Small Oval out of Regal Rose cardstock and then punching the Oval Scallop around the oval hole that was left in the cardstock. The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White in Pumpkin Pie and punched with the Small Oval punch. The frames are the Large Oval in Pumpkin Pie and the Scalloped Oval in Regal Rose. A Circle Fire Rhinestone embellishes the side of the sentiment piece. Dimensionals were used to adhere it to the box. A bow from Pumpkin Pie 1/2" Striped Grosgrain tied to the handle finished off the box. A few Starburst candies I swiped from the kiddos fills the box. Yum!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Teeny Tiny Wishes. Ink- Pumpkin Pie. Paper- Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Sweet Always DSP (retired). Accessories- Big Shot, Box #2, Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Small Oval punch, Eyelet Border punch, Fire Circle Rhinestone, Pumpkin Pie 1/2" Striped grosgrain, paper piercer, Sticky Strip, dimensionals.

Backwoods Happy Birthday

This is a birthday card for my little brother. His birthday is actually Monday, but we are going to visit him this morning. He is a total outdoorsman (loves to hunt, fish and camp), so I used the set, Backwoods, on his card. It's not in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog, but it's still available. It's on the Dormant List. (To see what else is on the Dormant List, click here.)

I started with a base of Sahara Sand, layered on a piece of Baja Breeze (retired) and then a piece of Chocolate Chip. A piece of Parisian Breeze (retired) was cut into strips and adhered to the Chocolate Chip layer. The sentiment is from On Your Birthday and was stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White cardstock. Then I stamped the fish from Backwoods in Creamy Caramel right over the sentiment. That piece was then layered on a piece of Chocolate Chip and a piece of Baja Breeze (retired).

That's it. No glitter. No ribbon. No bling. Just an easy peasy guy card. ;) I'm sure he'll notice what's inside more anyway. There's a gift card to Bass Pro Shops in there! LOL

Have a fabulous weekend! I hope you have plenty of time to create!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Backwoods, On Your Birthday. Ink- Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel. Paper- Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze(retired), Parisian Breeze DSP(retired). Accessories-'s a guy card. LOL

Trendy Thanks

Happy Friday!

Today's card is for this week's sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The cardbase is Ruby Red stamped with one of the treetops from Trendy Trees in Ruby Red ink. The panel is Chocolate Chip. I used the Scalloped Edge punch for the So Saffron layer. The Trendy Trees are stamped in Cameo Coral, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie on Whisper White with Chocolate Chip trunks. They were punched out with the Small Tag punch and layered on Ruby Red punched with the Tag punch. The buttons are from the Fresh Favorites II collection and adhered with mini glue dots. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped on Whisper White with Chocolate Chip and punched with the Word Window punch and layered on a piece of Chocolate Chip punched with the Modern Label punch.

Have a fabulous Friday!

Weekend Sketch Challenge

Good Saturday morning! I hope you are enjoying a fabulous start to your weekend! It's my birthday weekend, so I've got BIG plans! I started off making pancakes and sausage for breakfast with the kiddos. Then I completed the Weekend Sketch Challenge (WooHoo! Stamping=fun!). I'm going to squeeze in a couple hours of work in just a bit, and then go look at some laptops. Tomorrow we're going to browse the IKEA store that opened here in Tampa just 2 months ago. I suppose I'll have to throw some dishes and laundry in there somewhere, too. Drat! Monday is my 25th birthday (OK, it's really the 14th anniversary of my 25th birthday), and I'll be celebrating by going to work. LOL

Today's card is for the Weekend Sketch Challenge hosted by Lori. You can check out the sketch
here. My card base is Whisper White cardstock. I used a piece of Crushed Curry run through my Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder for the background. (I ran the envelope flap through with the same folder for a designer touch.) A strip of Melon Mambo polka-dot ribbon (it's really 2-sided! YAY! I used the solid side) is adhered across the middle of the card. Melon Mambo cardstock (my fave of the new In Colors) is topped by a piece of Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. The sentiment is from Oval All and the flower is from Razzle Dazzle. I used my In Color markers to color them. I punched it out with the Wide Oval punch (I used a sponge dauber and Crushed Curry to soften the Whisper White cardstock) and layered it on a piece of Rich Razzleberry that was run through my Big Shot with the Lots of Tags sizzlit. The tag piece is adhered with dimensionals.

This card is going to a fabulous friend of mine who I haven't seen in too long! I hope she enjoys it!

It's time for me to get to that work I mentioned earlier. LOL Have a fantastic day!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Oval All, Razzle Dazzle. Ink- Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry. Paper- Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP. Accessories- Big Shot, Finial Press embossing folder, Lots of Tags sizzlit, Wide Oval punch, Melon Mambo polka-dot ribbon.

Clearly Christmas!

I have been wanting to try my hand at making a clear card for some time now. I saw Dawn's video yesterday, and I just had to do it! My card is pretty much the same as hers since I made it along with her. LOL All I did was change the colors of the snowmen. I used my new In Color markers! It was so easy, and I will definitely be making more of them! (The card really is clear. I put black cardstock behind it so you can see the snowflakes. :) )

I hope you are enjoying your what's left of your weekend!

A rectangle from a square!

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a tutorial for you. I purchased the new SU! Exclusive Scallop Square die. I even made a square card with it. You can see it here. I wanted to be able to use it for a regular-sized card. I made a rectangle with the die that can be used on a regular A2 card. :) Click on any of the pictures for a larger look.

1. Cut a piece of cardstock to 5" X 4". Place on your die as shown and run through the Big Shot or other die-cutting machine.

2. Take your 3-sided scalloped piece and place it on the die with your scallops lined up inside the die.

3. Here is the finished piece! The final measurements are 4 3/8" X 3 1/2".

Here's the card I made with the first rectangle. It's just a quickie to show the size. I'll post another card using the Tempting Turquiose rectangle when I get it finished. :)

I'd love to see what you create with your rectangles! Make sure you leave me a comment with a link!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Love Bug (Level 1 Hostess set). Ink- Green Galore, YoYo Yellow, Lovely Lilac, Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, Real Red, Only Orange, Jet Black stazon. Paper- Lovely Lilac, YoYo Yellow, Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Whisper White. Finial Press Elegance

Happy Friday! WooHoo! It's time for the weekend! I am going to be a busy bee. We have a 2-part birthday party on Saturday. One for the kids, then afterwards for family. On Sunday, I need to clean the house. You demos know what that means. It must be workshop time! LOL I have my Celebrate the new Catalog party on Wednesday night. I have 2 new stampers coming, and I am so excited to meet them! After I clean, I will get the prep work done. I can't wait. It has been too long since my last workshop! I love getting together with friends and stamping!

Anyway, on to the card.

This is the 2nd card that my stampers will make on Wednesday night. (The other samples are posted here. I hope they like them!) I think it looks quite elegant, and I am very pleased with the final outcome. :) I used Kraft and Very Vanilla cardstock. The large Very Vanilla panel was run through the Big Shot with the new SU! exclusive embossing folder called Finial Press. I rounded all the corners and finished up the card with some yummy Chocolate Chip taffeta. I left it without a sentiment. I think it would be great as a wedding or anniversary card or even a thinking of you card. My stampers can pick out a sentiment for the outside and/or one for the inside. I'll pick one for mine when I decide where it's going.

Don't forget about the Deal of the Week! The Big Shot bag is on sale for just $49.99! That's almost 30% off the regular price! You don't even have to have a Big Shot! It would make a great overnight or carry-on bag, too! We demos can get an even bigger discount...20% off the sale price! Want to join my team and get great discounts, too? It's a great time! There's a mini starter kit for just $85.00! If you want the regular starter kit, there's a fabulous special with that also...ALL the In-Color inkpads and In-Color cardstock, too! Click on over to my
demo website for more information! The password is emh813. Call me or e-mail me if you want to talk about it or have any questions! I would love to have you join my team!

Have a fabulous Friday!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Flowers in Silhouette (dormant list). Ink- Chocolate Chip. Paper- Very Vanilla, Kraft. Accessories- Big Shot, SU! exclusive embossing folder Finial Press, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon, corner rounder punch.

Inspiration Challenge #51

Happy Thursday! It's time for another UDI Inspiration Challenge.

For today's card, I used the new SU! exclusive Texturz plate, Perfect De
tails. I rubbed the plate with Not Quite Navy ink, and then ran a piece of 6X6 Bashful Blue cardstock through my Big Shot. (You really need one of these!) Once that was done, I used the Magnetic Movers & Shapers scalloped oval die to cut out the opening for the sentiment. I used the cut-out for the bottom layer of the sentiment. The Oval All sentiment is stamped on Whisper White in Not Quite Navy ink and layered on Bashful Blue and then the cut-out. Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon finishes off the card. It measures 6X3 and fits in the Open End envelopes.

Head on over to the UDI blog to see what the other team members have created. Just be sure and give Maria a little time to post all the links. :)

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Oval All. Ink- Not Quite Navy. Paper- Bashful Blue, Whisper White. Acc
essories- Big Shot, Magnetic Movers & Shapers, Perfect Details Texturz plate, Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Bashful Blue taffeta.

Razzle Dazzle In Colors

I made these 3 cards for my workshop on the 15th. I will let my customers pick which In Color and background they would like for their card. They will also be able to choose a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The Melon Mambo card has the large image stamped in Versamark on the top of the background layer. The Crushed Curry card has the background layer run through the Big Shot with a Texturz plate. The Bermuda Bay card has a plain background layer. (You should be able to see the details better by clicking on the pictures.) All the sentiments are stamped in the same In Color as the cardstock, punched with the Word Window punch and layered on a Modern Label punch.

I still need to figure out a second card, but I have a few days left to think about it. ;)

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Razzle Dazzle, Teeny Tiny Wishes. Paper- Whisper White, Basic Gray, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay. Ink- Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Versamark. Accessories- Big Shot, Texturz plate, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Melon Mambo polka dot grosgrain, Crushed Curry polka dot grosgrain, Bermuda Bay polka dot grosgrain.
