Inspiration Thursday

Happy Thursday! Today's picture was really tough for me. I really did not like the picture. It just seemed to me that there were too many colors together. LOL I kept the cupcake theme and decided to take the colors from just one of them...the one on the left. Here's the final outcome. I'm not sure if I like it. I'll have to think about it some more. ;)

Check out what Maria and Carol thought of the picture. Find links to their cards here.

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Party Hearty. Paper- Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Parisian Breeze DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip. Accessories- Scalloped Square punch, crimper, dimensionals.

Another Thank You note...

but not for the school. This one is for a wonderful friend of mine. She's a realtor so I thought the houses would be cute. :)

I rolled the Neighborhood wheel across a piece of Whisper White in Basic Black Classic ink. I just chose one house to color. I used the Boho Blossoms punch for the sun. The sentiment is from Really Retro, and I adhered it with dimensionals.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Mine was, but it was also way too short! ;) Have a wonderful Monday!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Really Retro. Paper- Whisper White, Basic Black, YoYo Yellow. Ink- Basic Black, Real Red, Barely Banana, Garden Green, Night of Navy. Accessories- Neighborhood Jumbo SA Wheel, Scalloped Border punch, Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Boho Blossoms punch, dimensionals.

Friday, Friday, Friday!

Think I'm happy it's Friday? LOL WooHoo!

Today's card is the last in my Teacher Appreciation Week series. ;) I used Old Olive for this one because I ran out of Kiwi Kiss. That's a good thing. LOL I have way too much retired paper sitting around here. I still have scraps so I'll be o.k. until the new In Colors launch July 1st. I hope we demos will be seeing them on June 1st in our Sneak Peek! (Wanna get your own sneak peek? Join my team! You still have until April 29th to get the 3-payment plan! Click here to learn more!) Anyway, it's a good thing I still had some retired Summer Picnic DSP around since it has Old Olive in it! ;) The image on this card is the apple from Tart & Tangy. Everything else mirrors the other cards. Now all 100 cards are completed, sealed in a clear envelope and boxed up ready to go to school. Yay!

Have a fabulous Friday! Enjoy your weekend!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Tart & Tangy, Soft Summer. Paper- Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Summer Picnic DSP (retired). Ink- Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive. Accessories- Scallop Border punch, Word Window punch, Chocolate Chip 1/4" grosgrain, notecards.

Inspiration Challenge #40

It's that time of the week again...Inspiration Thursday! Today's picture brings back memories of my childhood. I remember walking along the beach with my brother when we were really young seeing who could find the best shells. That was the life...making sand castles and collecting shells. :)

I have no current ocean/beach sets, so I went with a nature theme and some of the colors. Mr. Brown just delivered the Clearly Thanks printed window sheets (Occasions Mini) to me Wednesday, and I couldn't wait to cut into them. I definitely need more! LOL

You can see what the other team members came up with by visiting the UDI blog here. If you decide to play along, leave a comment with a link!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- none. Paper- Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip. Ink- none. Accessories- Chocolate Chip Corduroy button brads, Clearly Thanks printed window sheets.

25 down...75 to go!

I reworked my goody bag cards. I left the layout pretty much the same, but I decided to use 4 different images instead of just 1. There will be 25 of each design. I have the first set completed. Actually, I have all the paper cut, all the ribbon cut, all the DSP cut, all the DSP punched, all the ribbon cut and all the images stamped. I just have to assemble them. ;)

I will share them as I finish them. I am putting each notecard and envelope in a clear envelope along with my business card and a small incentive coupon. I still need to come up with something cute to print up for the coupon. I am hoping to have everything done this week.

Supplies (all SU!): Stamps- Elegant Thank You. Paper- Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Walk in the Park DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip. Accessories- Big Shot, Texturz Backgrounds #1, Eyelet Border punch, Chocolate Chip 1/4" grosgrain, notecards.

Featured Stamper Sunday

Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

I haven't participated in a SCS challenge in ages. I decided to take a break from the 100 cards I'm making for Teacher Appreciation Week and check out the Featured Stamper today. :) I decided to CASE this card.

The base is Whisper White cardstock. The layers are So Saffron and Spring Fling DSP (retired). The long Whisper White strip was run through my Big Shot with the small polka dot Texturz #1 plate. The flower is the SU! Exclusive Cherry Blossom embosslit. A Pretty in Pink brad gives the middle some color. I dragged the flower through my Pretty in Pink ink pad just on the outer edges, and adhered it with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Holidays and Wishes. I made it a banner by putting the end in my 3/4" square punch diagonally. A piece of Pretty in Pink taffeta finishes off the card.

Inspiration Challenge Thursday

It's Thursday again already! Where did the week go? I haven't posted since Sunday! *gasp*

Today's inspiration picture was a fabulous excuse to use my Big Shot. (Like I need one! LOL) The flower is cut from the Daisies #2 die in Lovely Lilac and Almost Amethyst. The center is a 3/4" circle in Elegant Eggplant covered with a clear button. I doodled with my Lovely Lilac marker marker and white gel pen on both layers. Very simple, but I like the results! I left it sentiment-free so I can use it when I need it.

Don't forget to check out the other samples! The links are on the UDI blog!

Have a fabulous Thursday!

Happy Easter!

I hope you all are enjoying your Easter Sunday. We will be heading to my MIL's later today for an early Easter dinner.

Today's card was CASEd from the fabulously talented Andrea Walford. This card is the reason I purchased the Scalloped Oval Frame die for the Big Shot! The flower image is a stamp I got for free. You can too! Just spend $40 from the mini or hostess a workshop of at least $150.00, and you can pick any item from page 208 in the Spring/Summer 2009 IB&C for FREE!

The Scalloped Oval Frame was cut twice...once in Regal Rose and once in Whisper White. The holes in the outer frame were punched with the Crop-A-Dile. The flowers are cut from the Daisies#2 die in Pumpkin Pie. The buttons are So Saffron. The butterfly is from the SU! Exclusive die Beautiful Butterlies in Sweet Always DSP. I cut 2 and glued them together so that it was the same pattern on both sides. The body and antennae are from the Pretties kit. The sentiment is from All Holidays and is stamped in Chocolate Chip. The Flowers in Silhouette are stamped in Regal Rose (stamped off once). The card base is Regal Rose and the DSP is another pattern from Sweet Always DSP.
Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- All Holidays, Flowers in Silhouette. Paper- Whisper White, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Sweet Always DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose. Accessories- Big Shot, SU! Exclusive Beautiful Butterflies die, Scalloped Oval Frame die, Daisies #2 die, Pretties Kit, Crop-A-Dile, So Saffron buttons, mini glue gots.

Inspiration Challenge #38

Another Thursday has arrived! That means it's time for another UDI Inspiration Challenge.
Click here for links to the other design team members' creations.

I stuck with the birdie theme, but I used my little duck from Animal Crackers instead of the obvious A Good Egg chick. Just trying to be different. LOL

My box was made with the SU! Exclusive Matchbox die for the Big Shot. Love it! I used So Saffron for the base and SAB DSP for the top. The ribbon is also from SAB. The image was stamped in Jet Black Stazon, colored with Barely Banana and More Mustard markers, and then punched out with the Scalloped Square punch. It's tied to the So Saffron ribbon with Linen thread. Eight yummy chocolate eggs fit inside to make a perfect little favor.

Have a fabulous Thursday!

Hello Kitty Wednesday!

Today's project is a card my daughter made for her friend's birthday. Her friend loves Hello Kitty. Lauren came up with the idea, and made the card all by herself. The only things I did were snip the circle out of the cardstock when she finished using the Coluzzle, round the corners of the card base, and make the little bow. I am so proud of her. She looked through my punches and chose them all on her own. (Just 7 more years until I can sign her up as a demo. LOL )

I'm sure she would love to read what you think about her card! Please leave a comment for her!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- none. Ink- none. Paper- Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Basic Black. Accessories- Coluzzle, 3/4" Circle punch, Word Window punch, Horizontal Slot punch, Large Oval punch, Pretty in Pink taffeta, white gel pen.

Happy birthday, baby girl!

Today is my daughter's 11th birthday. It seems like just the other day we were bringing her home from the hospital. How do they grow up so fast?

This card is for her. Pink and bling are her favorite colors. ;) I used Pixie Pink, Dazzling Diamonds and Clear Rhinestone brads just for her. :) The tray is colored with my Zig Painty pen (which is now retired) for even more bling. (Silver embossing powder would also look great! I just didn't want to turn on my heat gun at 11 at night. LOL) Her birthday party was on Sunday at Pump It Up. It's a place full of giant inflatables. What fun! (Boy, am I sore! LOL) Tonight we will go out to eat at the restaurant of her choice. Both my kiddos usually pick CiCi's (an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet). We'll have to wait and see what she decides this year.

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Crazy for Cupcakes. Paper- Whisper White, Pixie Pink, Sweet Always DSP. Ink- Stazon, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, Real Red. Accessories- Scalloped Edge punch, Slot punch, Whisper White taffeta, Clear Rhinestone brads, Zig Painty (retired), 2-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds, dimensionals.

A card for the bags...

...goody bags! My daughter's school is looking for donations for goody bags for the 100 faculty and staff for Teacher Appreciation Week. I am going to donate cards (with all my info inside). This is the card that will go in each bag. It's a CASE of the card made at Regionals back in January. I used different DSP and a different green for the base. This one is a notecard, so it's smaller than the SU! one, too. I also added a piece of ribbon and used the Word Window punch for the sentiment.

I hope the faculty and staff enjoy using these. They will be blank inside. I hope I get some bookings, too! Along with my business card, there will be a coupon for $15.00 in additional hostess benefits for hostessing a qualifying workshop. This is the first time I've been able to "advertise" at school, so I'm crossing my fingers!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Soft Summer (Occassions mini). Paper- Notecards, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Walk in the Park DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa. Accessories- Chocolate Chip 1/4" grosgrain, Eyelet Border punch, Word Window punch.

Thoughts and Prayers

Happy Saturday! Can you believe another weekend is here already?

Today's card is a CASE of one I found on LeeAnn's blog. I just loved it! I am borrowing my mom's Thoughts and Prayers set, and I am probably going to end up ordering it. ;)

This card is for a cousin's baby shower. She is having a boy, so I just changed up the colors. I used an image from Oval All (now available!). I just used my marker so I could leave off the sentiment and add a different one. (The Scalloped Oval punch is also available now!) My added flowers are from the Boho Blossom punch. I colored the sentiment flowers with some Baja Breeze reinker and a blender pen. The DSP is from Parisian Breeze. I lined the envelope with a matching piece. Silver brads and a piece of Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain finish the card. I hope she likes it. I can't wait to see all the goodies she gets. I can't believe all the new & different baby things out there now! Things sure have changed since I had my 2 kiddos. My "baby" will be 11 on Tuesday. *gasp*

Enjoy your weekend!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Thoughts and Prayers, Oval All, Fresh Cuts (sentiment). Paper- Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Parisian Breeze DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip. Accessories- Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Boho Blossoms punch, 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain, Silver brads, dimensionals.

Inspiration Thursday

Another Thursday is here already. I guess my mom was right. (Shhh...don't tell her I said that! LOL) Time flies by faster the older you get.

Today's card is a simple one-layer card. I finally inked up Best Wishes and More, the set I received at Regionals. ;) I don't know why I haven't used it before now. The images are so cute. :) Check out the UDI blog for the inspiration picture and links to the other team members' creations.

Have a fabulous Thursday! Friday is almost here!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Best Wishes and More. Paper- Whisper White. Ink- Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence, YoYo Yellow, Basic Black.

Masculine Thank You

This is the final thank you card for my mom. I love Lovely as a Tree. I will be so sad when it retires. (I'm never giving it up! LOL)

The tree image is stamped in Chocolate Chip and left uncolored. The DSP is from Parisian Breeze. A small piece of Chocolate Chip polytwill (retired) is tied around the image layers. It's a knot...still masculine. LOL The sentiment is from Fresh Cuts. Easy but still very nice.
Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Lovely as a Tree, Fresh Cuts. Paper- Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Parisian Breeze DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip. Accessories- Chocolate Chip polytwill (retired).
