The 2nd feminine Thank You

Good morning! Here is the 2nd feminine thank you for my mom.

I love the "quilted" look of the Top Note. I adhered 12 squares (I punched them out with my 1 1/4" punch) to a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I then ran that piece through my Big Shot with the Top Note die. The stitches were made with my Chocolate Chip marker. I cut off the edge and adhered the quilted Top Note to one cut from Chocolate Chip cardstock. The Top Notes were adhered to layers of So Saffron and Chocolate Chip on a Whisper White base. The sentiment is from Cute & Curly punched with the Curly Label punch. A So Saffron button from Button Latte and some So Saffron ribbon (SAB) complete the card.

Up tomorrow...the masculine Thank You.

An Elegant Thank You

My mom requested 3 thank you cards from me. She needed 1 masculine and 2 feminine. Today's card is one of the feminine ones. I'll show you the other feminine one tomorrow.
My card base is Basic Grey and the DSP is Walk in the Park which will be available on the 1st. The sentiment is from Oval All and the scalloped oval is the new Scalloped Oval punch, both also available on the 1st. The butterfly is from the Beautiful Butterflies die (SU! exclusive!). I layered a vellum butterfly on top of a Basic Grey one. The half pearls are from the Pretties Kit, and the antennae are hand-drawn. A piece of Whisper White organza finishes off the card. I love the final result. I hope the recipient likes it as well.

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Oval All. Paper- Whisper White, Basic Grey, Walk in the Park DSP. Ink- Basic Grey. Accessories- Beautiful Butterflies die, Big Shot, Pretties Kit, Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Whisper White organza, mini glue dots.

An Easter Bunny Basket

I need your opinions! What do you think of this Easter Bunny basket? I have seen different versions everywhere, and this is my take on it. Is it ok? I used the Scallop Circle die for the body. The ears are the Small Oval and the Scalloped Oval punch. The nose is 2 3/4" circles and a small heart from the Heart to Heart punch. The eyes are 1/2" circle punches, and the feet are a Scalloped Oval punch cut in pieces. The teeth are the 3/4" square punch. I need to make baskets for some moms that are helping in my daughter's class on Thursday. Would this work?

Thanks for your comments!

Mojo Monday Birthday

Happy Saturday! Today's card is for a co-worker's birthday. I used Julee's MojoMonday79 sketch. I just love her sketches! Check out the MojoMonday blog here.

The balloon from Crazy for Cupcakes is stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White. I colored it in with Pretty in Pink, and then used my 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds to make it sparkly! :) The DSP is a pattern from Bella Rose. The sentiment is from Party Hearty. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get it straight. I used the Eyelet Border punch at the bottom of the Pink Pirouette layer. The ribbon on the balloon is Chocolate Chip polytwill (retired) and the white is Whisper White organza.

Supplies (all SU!): Stamps- Crazy for Cupcakes, Party Hearty. Paper- Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Bella Rose DSP. Ink- Chocolate Chip. Accessories- Chocolate Chip polytwill (retired), Whisper White organza, Eyelet Border punch, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-way glue pen.

Inspiration Thursday

Wow! I can't believe it's already Thursday! Where does the time go?

Here is my card for today's Inspiration Challenge. You can see the inspiration picture and the other team members' projects by going to the UDI blog.

I loved using the Bold Brights today. I don't know why I don't use them more often! How bright and cheerful are they?! I was inspired today to use the colors and theme of the picture. I ran my cardstock base through my Big Shot using the SU! Exclusive Texturz Harlequin design. I stamped my image panel with flowers from Fifth Avenue Floral. The main image is cut out and adhered with dimensionals. I used the Scalloped Edge punch for 2 of the layers. The sentiment is from Really Retro and uses lots of punches. The Scalloped Oval punch will be available on April 1st. I am really happy with the way this turned out. It is so bright and happy!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Fifth Avenue Floral, Really Retro. Paper- Whisper White, Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Lovely Lilac. Ink- Stazon Jet Black, YoYo Yellow, Pixie Pink, Green Galore. Accessories- Big Shot, Texturz Backgrounds #1, Scalloped Edge punch, Word Window punch, Large Oval punch, Scalloped Oval punch, dimensionals.

CASEing Crazy for Cupcakes

Good Monday morning! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I spent mine in Tallahassee celebrating my grandmother's 90th birthday. It was really wonderful. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

Here's a card I whipped up as a sample for a customer who just purchased Crazy for Cupcakes. I CASEd it from Stephanie's gallery over at SCS. Mine is a bit simpler as I was rushing around Friday afternoon trying to get everyone packed and ready to go. I really do like how the cupcakes turned out. I actually pulled out my aquapainter to color them. I used some reinker and markers colored on a styrofoam plate as my palette. ;)

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Crazy for Cupcakes. Paper- Watercolor paper, So Saffron, Ruby Red, Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP. Ink- Baja Breeze, Stazon, Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Ruby Red. Accessories- Scalloped Edge punch, aquapainter.

Happy 90th Birthday!

Happy Friday!

This is for my grandma's 90th birthday. We will be traveling to Tallahassee this weekend for her party. I hope she likes it!

The card base is Baja Breeze. I layered a piece of Chocolate Chip with Parisian Breeze DSP. The ribbon is Whisper White Organza died with Baja Breeze reinker and heated with the heat tool. The image layer is from Echoes of Kindness stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and layered on Chocolate Chip. I colored the flower with Baja Breeze reinker and a blender pen. The leaves were done in Kiwi Kiss, but they were just too bright for me. I colored right over the Kiwi Kiss with my Sahara Sand marker to tone down the color. The sentiment is from Fifth Avenue Floral and is stamped in Chocolate Chip. I used the Mat Pack to line up the paper piercing.

It's time for another Thursday Inspiration Challenge...#35 to be exact. Head on over to the UDI blog to check out the other team members' submissions.

My card didn't come out quite as I had pictured it in my head. Oh, well. It'll have to do. ;)

Contact me if you are interested!) I stamped the egg twice. I cut them both out and adhered the top one with dimensionals. The scalloped border is the Eyelet border punch. The inside flower is the Sizzix Daisies #2 die. I just LOVE my Big Shot! :)

Embossed Manhattan Birthday

Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the work week! YAY!

Today's card is a birthday card for a co-worker. The focal point of the card is the beautiful embossing. Manhattan Flower was embossed on a piece of Bella Rose DSP and then sanded. I cut out the top part of the DSP and layered it on a piece of Whisper White. That was then layered on a piece of Kiwi Kiss. The card base is Whisper White. The sentiment is from the Occassions mini set, Oval All, and is adhered with dimensionals. The Scalloped Oval punch is also from the Occassions mini which starts April 1st. Some Kiwi Kiss ribbon finishes off the card.

I hope she enjoys it. I am very pleased with the final result. :)

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Oval All. Paper- Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Bella Rose DSP. Ink- Old Olive. Accessories- Kiwi Kiss ribbon, Scalloped Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Manhattan Flower embossing folder, Big Shot.

A Sweet Slumber Slider

Good Saturday morning! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend ahead of you!

Today's project is another slider box. I think these are just fabulous! They are perfect as small gift boxes. This one is going to my little sister with something "baby" in it. She will be having a baby girl this summer. Here's the link to Kelly's tutorial again in case you missed the first one. :)

I used Sweet Slumber for the outside of the box. Stampin' Up!'s new Specialty paper is fantastic for making boxes. The box, band and Scalloped Oval (punch available April 1st) are So Saffron. The sentiment is from Oval All (also available April 1st) and is punched with the Large Oval punch. The sentiment is attached to the band with a Fire Circle brad. A bow tied from Whisper White Organza finishes off the box. I hope my sister likes it.

A Birthday Daisy...

Here is another birthday card. This one is for Robert's mom. She's coming over to stamp on Wednesday, so I'll be able to give it to her. This is definitely not one for the mailman. ;)

I used the Sizzix Daisies #2 die for the flower. I cut it out in Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White. The layers are all glued together and a Kiwi Kiss Corduroy brad adorns the middle. The sentiment is from Crazy for Cupcakes. The DSP is a sneak peek from the Occassions mini and is called A Walk in the Park. The tags are from the SU! Exclusive Lots of Tags and Matchbox dies. I cut the ends off both labels so they would layer nicely. A piece of Gingham ribbon attaches the labels to the card. I hope she likes it! I still need to make one more birthday card for this week. Then I need 2 more for next week. LOL

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Crazy for Cupcakes. Paper- Whisper White, Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, A Walk in the Park DSP (Occassions mini). Ink- Basic Black. Accessories- Daisies #2 die, Kiwi Kiss Corduroy brad, Matchbox die, Lots of Tags sizzlit, Gingham ribbon.

Another birthday card!

Tomorrow is Robert's uncle's birthday. The next day is his mom's birthday. The next day is his aunt's birthday. Can you guess what type of cards I'll be posting the next few days? LOL

Today's card uses the Level 3 Hostess bundle and Enjoy Every Moment. I used a piece of Sahara Sand for the card base. I stamped the cupcake and cut it out to use it for the "o" in Enjoy. It's a bit bigger, but I put it on dimensionals and really like the way it looks. :) The image panel was punched with the Ticket Corner punch. An easy peasy card.

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Enjoy Every Moment, It's a Loop Thing (Level 3 Hostess). Paper- Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss, Hand Drawn DSP (Level 3 Hostess). Ink- Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Bashful Blue. Accessories- Ticket Corner punch, dimensionals.

Happy Sunday!

Good morning! I hope you are enjoying your short-by-an-hour Sunday! (Those of you that don't observe Daylight Savings Time, enjoy your Sunday, too! :) )

Today's card is a birthday card for my grandfather. Well, technically, he's Robert's grandfather, but he's mine now, too! :) We'll be going to his party later today.

I started with a card base of Baja Breeze. The next layer is Whisper White topped with a piece of Parisian Breeze DSP. Stampin' Up!'s new Specialty papers are just gorgeous! The image is from Darling Dots (Hostess Level 1). The cupcake is stamped in Baja Breeze. The ribbon is a piece of Whisper White taffeta that I colored with some Baja Breeze reinker and a sponge dauber. The jumbo white grommet will be available on April 1st in the Occassions mini. You just poke them through your papers and flatten the prongs with your bone folder. So easy!

Supplies(all SU!): Stamps- Darling Dots (Hostess Level 1). Paper- Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Parisian Breeze DSP. Accessories- Baja Breeze reinker, sponge dauber, Whisper White taffeta, Jumbo White Grommet.
