UDI Sketch Challenge #176

Happy Saturday!  Here's today's sketch for the UDI Sketch Challenge.  I hope you like what I created with it!

I used Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and Twitterpated DSP.  I sponged all the Very Vanilla pieces with Crumb Cake ink.  The Cherry Cobbler background piece was run through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to mimic the dots on the DSP.  The sentiment from Word Play was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I didn't like the way it looked on the rectangle, so I whipped out my Labels Framelits.  I used the 2nd smallest label to make the decorative piece. I slipped just the end of the card stock under the framelit.  The rest of the card stock was on top.  I cranked it through the Big Shot just a bit so the card stock on top of the label wouldn't be creased.  Does that make sense?  LOL  I added some of the large Basic Pearls to the corners and adhered the entire piece to the card with dimensionals.

What do you think?  Let me know, then head on over to the UDI blog to see what everyone else created for you.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Word Play.  Ink- Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake.  Paper- Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Twitterpated DSP.  Accessories-  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Labels Framelits, Scallop Trim border punch, Basic Pearls, dimensionals, sponge.

Same sketch, different card.

Happy Wednesday!  I have been meaning to share this card with you, but I just keep getting distracted.   It uses the UDI Sketch from February 4th.  My cousin's little girl's birthday is the same as my BIL's, so I used the same sketch and inspiration from the wrapping paper to make a card for Mia's 1st birthday.  Here's a peek at the paper.  Too cute and so girly!

Here's the card.  I moved the element to the center and added a sentiment. The card base is Rich Razzleberry.  The next layer is Pretty in Pink embossed in the Perfect Polka Dots folder followed by a piece of Melon Mambo DSP.  The flowers are punched with the Blossom punch. The stamped one is from Mixed Bunch.  The cake is from Packed for Birthday.  I colored the cake with Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink, and glittered the Pretty in Pink circle punch and the flame with Dazzling Diamonds.  The sentiment is from Curly Cute.  I made the banner by snipping the end of the strip with a square punch.

That's it for me.  I'll try and create something for tomorrow or Friday, but I can't promise anything.  I'll definitely have something on Saturday for the next UDI Sketch Challenge.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Packed for Birthday, Curly Cute, Mixed Bunch.  Ink- Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Rich Razzleberry.  Paper- Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink, Naturals White, Melon Mambo DSP (Brights Pack).  Accessories-  Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Blossom punch, 1" and 1 1/4" Circle punches, square punch, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-way glue pen, dimensionals.

Saturday Sketch Challenge 175

Time for another sketch challenge on the UDI blog!  Here is today's sketch.

Here is what I did with it.  My own sketch, and I had to adjust it.  LOL  I decided to use hearts instead of squares since Valentine's Day is Tuesday.  The small Poppy Parade hearts were cut from the Fashionable Hearts embosslit.  The big Poppy Parade heart is the Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit.  The Lucky Limeade heart is the Full Heart punch.  The striped heart was cut with the 2nd smallest Heart Framelits.  When I was adhering the big heart to the card, I noticed that if I moved it over to the left just a bit, the stripes would match.  That left some space on the right, so I added a bow from the FREE Lucky Limeade SAB organdy ribbon.  The card base is Lucky Limeade followed by layers of Poppy Parade and FREE Everyday Enchantment SAB DSP.

Head on over to the UDI blog to see all the other designers' creations.  You'll also find links to their blogs so you can get all the details.

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- none.  Ink- none.  Paper- Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Everyday Enchantment DSP.  Accessories- Big Shot, Scalloped Heart of Hearts and Fashionable Hearts embosslits, Full Heart punch, Heart Framelits, Lucky Limeade organdy ribbon, dimensionals, glue dot.

Enjoy your weekend!

Saturday Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday!  It's time for sketchy fun on the UDI blog!  This month's sketches are brought to you by yours truly!  There really is inspiration everywhere!  I drew this month's sketches (in MDS!  You can try it FREE for 30 days!) from a stack of coupons that I found in my mailbox one day.  Really!  They were from Hardee's. (It's a fast-food burger joint.) LOL  Anyway, here is today's sketch.

It would have been soooo easy to make a Valentine's Day card (which is what I intended when I put the heart on the sketch), but today is my BIL's 40th birthday.  Guess what I made instead!  :)  Yep, a birthday card.  Here it is.

I started with my package of Well Worn DSP.  Once I settled on the piece I wanted, I chose my color palette.  The card base is Early Espresso.  The next layer is Naturals White which was run through the Big Shot in the Stripes embossing folder and then sponged with Early Espresso ink.  The Well Worn DSP was adhered directly to that layer.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso on Naturals White, punched out with the Wide Oval punch and then sponged, too.  It was adhered to an Early Espresso label die-cut from the Lots of Tags sizzlit.  It was adhered to the card with dimensionals.  It's pretty simple, but I really like the finished card.

Head on over to the UDI blog to see all of the team's creations.  You can follow the links there to all the blogs for details.

Enjoy your weekend!  It's going to be a busy one here!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Perfect Punches.  Ink- Early Espresso.  Paper- Naturals White, Early Espresso, Well Worn DSP.  Accessories- Big Shot, Stripes embossing folder, Lots of Tags sizzlit, sponge, dimensionals.

UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge #173

Happy Saturday!   Here is the sketch for today's UDI Sketch Challenge.  Thanks, Tammy, for a month of great ones!

Here's what I created.  The card base is Pear Pizzazz.  I used the yummy SAB DSP, Everyday Enchantment, for the top layer and the flower image.  ;)  The top layer is a little wonkier than the sketch.  What can I say?  LOL  The sentiment is from Apothecary Art in the Occasions mini, and I cut it and the layer behind it out with the Labels Framelits.  LOVE them!  Both layers of Poppy Parade were run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder for some texture.

Head on over to the UDI blog to see what the rest of the team created for you.  We'd love you to play along with us!

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Apothecary Art.  Ink- Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade.  Paper- Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP.  Accessories- Big Shot, Labels Framelits, Square Lattice embossing folder, 1" Circle punch.

Enjoy your weekend!

Saturday Sketch Challenge #172

Are you ready for another UDI Saturday Sketch Challenge?  Ready or not, here's Tammy's sketch!  :)  Believe it or not, I didn't mean to flip the sketch this week.  I just went from memory which doesn't really work out all the time.  LOL

Here's my card.  I got my color inspiration from this week's UDI Color Challenge.  I used Basic Grey for the card base.  The focal layer is Whisper White.  I punched out lots of little hearts with the Heart to Heart punch in Regal Rose and Rose Red and glued them to the Whisper White layer with my glue stick.  Then I ran the piece through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I cut off the parts of the hearts that were hanging off the edges and adhered it to a piece of Basic Black.  The  larger Rose Red heart was die-cut with the Fashionable Hearts embosslit and adhered with a dimensional.  The sentiment is from an upcoming SAB set, Outlined Occasions.  I colored it in with my markers.

You can see what all the other team members created over on the UDI blog.  There are links to their blogs so you can get the details and see what else they've been up to lately.  :)

Supplies(all SU!):  Stamps- Outlined Occasions.  Ink- Jet Black Stazon, Regal Rose, Rose Red.  Paper- Whisper White, Basic Grey, Basic Black. Accessories-  Big Shot, Square Lattice embossing folder, Fashionable Hearts embosslit, Heart to Heart punch, dimensional.
